Touch A Truck Day

Children who dream of climbing through a fire truck or activating the lights and sirens inside a police cruiser can get that chance Saturday May 8, 2010 from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Wynnewood City Park. This event provides children with opportunities to get in or on their favorite trucks, including a crane, fire engine, police car, garbage truck, mobile bank,, a helicopter, semi-truck, cement mixer, school bus, ambulance, a range of construction vehicles, a recreational vehicle, a utility bucket truck, and many others. There will be fingerprinting for children. There will be over 20 vehicles for kids to explore!

More importantly, children got the chance to meet the everyday heroes who operate the vehicles and learn more about the important work they do for our community.

The event will last from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Wynnewood City Park located at 600 N. Dean A McGee in Wynnewood, OK. The Wynnewood Kiwanis will be cooking char burgers and providing a concession. There is a $2 per child suggested donation for this event, all donations go to the Wynnewood City Park committee, a group of parents, grandparents, citizens and business owners in the local community who want to provide the children in not only Wynnewood but also the surrounding communities a safer and better place to play in Wynnewood.

If you have any questions feel free to contact us regarding this event. Jamie Williamson (405) 623-7262 or Walsie McLaughlin (405) 207-8303

Bluegrass Park

Arbuckle Mountain Bluegrass Park has 4 events a year.  The largest event is our September Festival.  We have a Spring Jam in May.  4th of July Jam, and our Fall Jam in October. The attendance just keeps growing and becoming more fun than the last event.  Many of our bluegrass family comes weeks in advance to make it last as long as possible.  This area is one of their favorite places!
